This is when it all started...

I don't have many memories of my childhood... whenever my sister tells an old story about when we were kids she says 'do you remember?' and I say 'no...'. It's true, I don't remember many things...

However, my earliest memory probably is when I fell and cut my forehead, when I was about 3 or 4, who knows... My sister, some circumstantial friends and I were playing... they didn't want me to play because I was too little, but I didn't mind and I followed them anyway. They were playing hide and seek, and I wanted to play so I tried to. Unfortunately, it was late at night and I couldn't see well, besides having the characteristic clumsiness of a 3-year-old. I remember I tripped with one of the steps of the staircase and fell down, hitting my forehead with the edge of the step. I don't remember more from that part, my next 'memory' of that occasion is me crying in the bathroom, somebody was holding me so I could see my bloody face in the mirror. That was scary!

I remember my whole face covered with blood and me crying and stuff. And the next thing I remember is me in a van, covered with a blanket being taken to hospital, then at hospital waiting to be treated and finally being completely covered with a white sheet that only had a hole that was placed on my forehead and me kicking and screaming and that. That's the end of it. I don't remember anything else from that point that night... I don't remember when they finished suturing my forehead, nothing. I think they may have given me a shot of anaesthetic or something, because I think I fell asleep... I remeber they grabbing me, wrapping me in that white sheet and the end. Nothing else, so I'm sure they gave me something so I could sleep and they could finish their work...

Do you have any childhood memories? I bet you do! I want you to tell me what you remember from when you were a child. It could be a nice memory, an embarrassing memory, a painful memory or your earliest memory, like in my case. Any memory you'd like to write about is welcome :)

In your post you can include:

- How old you were
- When it took place
- What happened exactly
- Why you think that memory is worth mentioning
- etc.

This time you'll have to write about 300 words on the topic.
Don't forget to leave comments on your classmates' posts ;)
And try to include an image or something catchy to decorate your post :)

Now, let's begin!

On The Big Screen (or the small one)

There are many films that I like, so I really couldn't choose one. I could mention the first movie I saw that made me feel something different from what I had ever experienced watching films, though.

It is probably kind of cliché, but I was about 10 or 11 years old which means I was allowed to feel things with cliché stuff. My 'first' film (which is not really the first movie I saw, but it is the first one I loved) is called Cinema Paradiso (1988), by Giuseppe Tornatore, with Philippe Noiret (heart). I remember I watched it one night on channel 13, when the rest of my sisters where at my parents' bedroom watching something else with them. I remember they used to show that film on TV everey year and I had never felt the need to watch it before, but that year it was different.

When I was watching that film I realised movies could make me feel things I had never experienced before. I loved the story, even when it's a very common concept to explore and it's been done many times in film history up to these days.

This is the typical story about an adult and a child and how this adult influences and changes this kid's life. I remember I cried my eyes out! I loved it so much. I loved what this cinema meant to the people who lived in this village, how they showed it as a place with a history, where different events that where part of the history of the village took place. I still love that story, to be honest. It makes me feel something deep inside my stomach which always ends up making me cry. But it's a different kind of crying; it's a mix of happiness, and melancholy for something I have never experienced. Probably that's the reason why I like this movie so much, because it made me realise movies were more than a story on a screen, as they can also be something you cannot even name, deep inside your stomach that gives you the goosebumps.

Well, this week you'll have to write about Movies. It can be your favourite movie, a movie yoy hate or the last movie you saw...

Whatever movie/film it is you have to remember to:

- Leave a comment on 3 of your classmates posts
- Write: about 280 words
- Include a photo/video/visual thingie.

I'll be around!!

Good luck!
